This proposed self-storage facility in Burnaby was designed to support modern storage operations within an industrial context. The project consolidates two adjacent properties to create a site of approximately 7,122 m² (1.7 acres), with the building designed to maximize permitted site coverage while complying with applicable zoning regulations.
The four-storey facility accommodates self-storage units along with operational and administrative spaces. The program includes accessible storage lockers, covered loading areas, and a combination of surface and indoor parking to support efficient circulation for customers and service vehicles.
The building and site design were developed in coordination with landscape and civil consultants to address access, servicing, and site development requirements, while complying with the British Columbia Building Code and municipal bylaws.
Our team contributed to this project while at CTA Architecture + Design, serving as Project Architect through the development and building permit submission stage.
